Fermoy Estate Cottage
Fermoy's unique cottage is built amongst its award winning Semillon vines. It overlooks the Estate's dam and has a native timbered creek flowing at its doorstep.
It is beautifully appointed with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen/dining, lounge and laundry. All amenities are fully provided with a touch of Fermoy style.
It is ideally suited as a base to explore all the Margaret River tourist attractions - wineries, beaches, caves and galleries to name just a few.
The cottage was originally built 15 years ago as a private escape for the Estate's first owners. It is both functional and comfortable with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (1 en-suite), a cosy lounge with open fireplace, and a big kitchen/dining room. It is also equipped with a portable gas BBQ, on a wisteria-shaded verandah.
The kitchen/dining room has plenty of preparation and storage space, and features custom made rough-hewn pine and jarrah island bench and dining table. The table comfortably seats 8 and a potbelly stove warms the room.
French doors open onto the verandah, with gorgeous vistas of the vines, dam and native bush. The cottage garden extends to the dam and includes an orchard. A "marri" slab-table" in the cool of the trees, provides a sublime setting for any alfresco dining.
You may even be fortunate enough to catch your own marron, and wash it down with some of the area's best, Fermoy Estate wine. Guests staying at the cottage are welcome to wander around the 25ha estate and enjoy its freedom, peace and quiet. It is also within close proximity to the Margaret River attractions caves, coast, wineries, galleries and restaurants.
