2016 Fermoy Estate Reserve Shiraz

Appearance: Rich, ruby red with black tints.
Aroma: Lifted aromas of violet, blue fruits & sour cherry with black pepper, clove and vanilla bean spice.
Palate: The inclusion of 20% whole bunches during ferment confers structure and perfume – including hints of Campari and rosemary to intertwine with the blue fruits and spice. A medium weighted, elegant wine with oak and acid in perfect balance, allowing the perfumed fruits, exotic spice and sinew of tannin to fully express and elaborate across the palate.
Oak Detail: 18 months maturation in a combination of 45% new and balance 2nd and 3rd use French oak barriques – Mercurey, Sirugue, Francois Freres & St.Martin.
Cellaring: Suitably fresh, vibrant and balanced to allow for immediate consumption this wine has all the necessary components to evolve gracefully over the next 10-12 years.
