2014 Fermoy Estate Shiraz Quarterly



Vintage:  2014

Varietals (%’S):  100% Shiraz

Appearance:  Rich ruby red with black tints.

Aroma:  Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and redcurrant with lifted notes of musk, vanilla bean and toasted oak spice.

Palate:  Ripe plum and black cherry fruit sweetness on the front palate precedes a rich array of perfume and spice notes – musk, vanilla and white pepper – through the middle palate.  Soft, pliable tannins lead into a bright redcurrant acid line to provide length and focus to the finish, while toasted oak spice adds richness and complexity.  

Oak Detail:  15 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques.

Cellaring:  Tannins are sufficiently pliable to drink now but, will continue to evolve over the next 4-8 years.

Alcohol Volume:  13.5%
Acidity:  pH 3.64 TA 5.63 g/L

Residual Sugar:  0.8 g/L
