VARIETALS (%’S): 100% Shiraz
Appearance: Rich plum red with brickish tints.
Aroma: Aromas of black fruits, cocoa and herbs with complexing notes of roasted meats and brown spice.
Palate: With more than 4 years of bottle age, this medium-bodied wine is showing subtle, secondary complexity. Fleshy black and red fruits precede an array of savoury notes – woody herbs, cracked pepper and roasted meats – through the middle palate. Soft, pliable tannins coat dark, exotic spices.
Oak Detail: 15 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques.
Cellaring: Tannins are sufficiently soft and pliable to drink now, but will continue to evolve over the next 3-6 years.
Food Pairing: Slow-cooked beef with creamy polenta.
