Fermoy Estate

2021 Fe Rosé

Varietals (%’S):  95% Shiraz; 3% Chardonnay; 2% Pinot Noir

Appearance:  Bright reddish-pink

Aroma:  Fresh and vibrant aromatics of red apple, Turkish delight, wild strawberry and blueberry fruits.

Palate:  The palate is juicy and flavoursome with a soft and delicate mouthfeel. Bright and fleshy red and blue fruit notes of raspberry, strawberry and rose water are balanced by a delicate grape sweetness and soft, grapefruit acid line.

Winemaking: A select parcel of Shiraz from our Osmington vineyard was picked early to retain natural acids and bright fruit aromatics. Pressed off skins after 18hrs, the resultant bright pink juice was fermented cool in stainless steel – with fermentation stopped early to retain a hint of natural grape sugar.

Oak Detail:  Nil. This wine was fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to ensure maximum retention of aromatics and fruit flavour.

Food Pairing: Antipasto.
