"Right on the button for this style of current drinking, approachable, soft and supple red wine. It's from a very good vintage and it shows. Everything is so harmoniously balanced and poised. It's a lovely integration of fine tannin and oak working with the plush red berry and slightly blue-fruited nuanced characters. There's a nice savoury, slightly oyster shell minerality on the finish. Produces a wine of structure, poise, and such pleasing plush fruit flavours."

Nose Blackcurrant, blueberry and mulberry fruits lead into savoury notes of sundried tomato, tobacco leaf and bouquet garni.

Palate The medium-weighted palate unfolds in layers of fruit, cooking herbs, dark chocolate, and delicate oak spice. A light-footed, yet juicy mid-palate is supported by a framework of fine tannin which add structure and length.

18 months maturation in a combination of 15% new and 85% seasoned French oak barriques from a selection of renowned Bordeaux cooperages.
